A bracket. A beginning.
Our first March Madness fundraiser turned a shared love of basketball into support for Pleasantville Cottage School.
In March 2025, Cooper Steinberg, Derek Graffeo, and Dylan Jonisch founded Hoops for Hope. Our first March Madness bracket fundraiser was one of the ways we put that idea into action.
Entry was $20, with half of the entry fees going to prizes and half to the donation fund. Additional contributions helped us finish with a $400 prize pool and a $700 check for Pleasantville Cottage School.
This first fundraiser connected the excitement of the tournament with a purpose close to us: giving back to the community we had come to know through basketball.
